MCA Working On One-Day Company Incorporation Framework, Rollout Likely By December

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) is working on a framework to enable company incorporation within 24 hours. The proposal is at an advanced stage and may be introduced by December, according to sources.

The plan aims to allow applicants to complete name approval and incorporation in a single day. At present, the process takes three to four days. The move is intended to reduce delays and bring India’s systems closer to global digital registration practices. Officials are also considering a shorter incorporation form. The current 33-page format may be replaced with a one-page document, which could simplify filings for new businesses and first-time Founders.

The proposal is part of a broader effort to ease business entry and improve compliance.

Separately, the Corporate Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026, has been referred to a parliamentary panel for review after its introduction in the Lok Sabha.
