Max Financial Services Appoints Malini Thadani As Independent Director
The Board of Directors of Max Financial Services Limited has approved the appointment of Malini Thadani as an Additional Director (Non-Executive Independent Director) for five years, which will be effective from December 1, 2024. Subject to the approval of shareholders. Thadani will replace Gauri Padmanabhan, whose resignation was accepted by the Board.
Malini Thadani is the Executive Director of the World Monuments Fund India Association. She is a visiting faculty member at the Indian School of Development Management. She has been a strategic advisor on matters related to sustainability and ESG. She was a civil servant of the Indian Revenue Service, with 14 years’ experience in various Indian government ministries. She worked for 22 years at HSBC, first in India, where she headed the financial services group’s Public Affairs, Communications, and Sustainability work. She moved to Hong Kong to lead the bank’s sustainability teams across 19 markets in Asia. Presently, she serves as an Independent Director on the corporate Boards of Max Estates Ltd., AU Small Finance Bank, and Mirae Asset Investment Managers (India) Pvt. Ltd., as well as not-for-profit Boards such as Access Development Services and Lighthouse Communities Foundation, and is a trustee of Watershed Organisation Trust (WOTR), Apnalaya, and Shoshit Seva Sangh.
