Mary Boies, Charles Ryan & Roanne Sragow Licht Join Paramount Board

Paramount Global nominated Mary Boies, Charles Ryan, and Roanne Sragow Licht to its Board, increasing its members to seven ahead of the USD 8.4 billion merger with Skydance Media.

The company is awaiting approval from the U.S. Federal Communications Commission, which must authorise the transfer of CBS broadcast licenses. A USD 20 billion lawsuit filed by President Donald Trump against CBS News, owned by Paramount, poses a challenge to the merger. Trump alleges that an interview with Kamala Harris was edited to favour the Democratic Party. Paramount reportedly offered USD 15 million to settle the lawsuit. The company is preparing its full Board in case settlement talks fail. The merger aims to combine Paramount’s content with Skydance’s production capabilities.
