
Manish Singhal Succeeds Deepak Sood As Secretary General Of ASSOCHAM
The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) has appointed Manish Singhal as its new Secretary General, effective immediately from January 1, 2025. He has succeeded Deepak Sood, who had stepped down from the same position w.e.f. December 14, 2024.
Singhal has over 35 years of experience and previously served as the Deputy Secretary General of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). His career includes roles at companies like Tata Motors, Eicher, and Moser Baer India. Singhal succeeds Deepak Sood, who stepped down after leading ASSOCHAM for five years. Under Sood’s leadership, ASSOCHAM strengthened its financial foundation and impact. Assocham President Sanjay Nayar welcomed Singhal, highlighting his expertise in policy advocacy and international business. Established in 1920, ASSOCHAM represents over 4.5 lakh members and plays a significant role in India’s business landscape.
