Magnum Ice Cream Appoints Jochanan Senf As Global CEO Of Ben & Jerry’s

Magnum Ice Cream Company appointed Jochanan Senf as global Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ben & Jerry’s, effective mid-July.

Senf previously served as Managing Director (MD) for Ben & Jerry’s Europe and held senior positions within Unilever’s food division. His appointment comes amid a legal dispute between Ben & Jerry’s independent Board and parent company Unilever over the removal of former CEO Dave Stever. Ben & Jerry’s claims Stever was removed without Board approval, breaching a longstanding agreement to preserve the brand’s independence. Stever had been with the company since 1988 and became CEO in May 2023. Unilever, which owns Ben & Jerry’s, Magnum, and Breyers, plans to spin off its ice cream business later this year.
