LVMH Appoints Cecile Cabanis to Succeed As CFO Within 18 Months
LVMH has appointed Cecile Cabanis as its Deputy Finance Director, part of its succession plan for Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jean-Jacques Guiony. Cabanis, 52, previously Danone’s CFO, joins from Tikehau Capital, where she served as Deputy CEO for three years.
LVMH emphasised the importance of succession planning for key roles but did not specify when Cabanis would take over as CFO. Guiony, 62, has been with LVMH for two decades, starting as Deputy Financial Director in 2003 and becoming CFO in 2004. He has overseen major acquisitions such as Bulgari, Tiffany, Belmond, and Dior.
Cabanis joins amid several management changes, including Stephane Bianchi’s promotion to Deputy Managing Director in March. Despite these changes, LVMH Chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault, 75, continues to lead, with his five children holding top management positions.
Cabanis will report to Guiony and join the LVMH executive committee. New responsibilities for Guiony will be announced later, according to LVMH.
