L. Krishnakumar And Sonia Singh Appointed Independent Directors Of Pfizer, Pradeep Shah Transitions To Non-Independent Role
Lakshmanan Krishnakumar and Sonia Singh were appointed as Independent Directors (Additional Directors) of Pfizer Limited with effect from July 29, 2024, subject to the approval of the shareholders.
Pradip Shah has been appointed as Non-Executive Non-Independent Director (Additional Director) of the company with effect from November 10, 2024, subject to the approval of the shareholders.
Pradip Shah and Uday Khanna have completed their term as Independent Directors of the company and will retire from this position on November 9, 2024. Khanna also ceased to be the Chairman of the Audit Committee and Nomination & Remuneration Committee and Member of the Stakeholders’ Relationship Committee.
Pradip Shah is the ex-Managing Director of CRISIL. Before founding CRISIL, he assisted in founding the Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) in 1977. Shah has also served as a consultant to USAID, the World Bank, and the Asian Development Bank. He is presently the Chairman of Indasia Fund Advisors Pvt. Ltd. Shah holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School. He is also a Chartered Accountant and a Cost Accountant and ranked first in India in the Chartered Accountancy Examination.
Lakshmanan Krishnakumar worked for more than 20 years with Tata Group of Companies and superannuated from Tata Consumer Product Limited as Executive Director and Group CFO. His earlier professional experience has been with Larsen & Toubro Limited and A. F. Ferguson & Co. Krishnakumar is a Chartered Accountant, a Cost Accountant, and a Company Secretary.
Sonia Singh is a marketing professional with over three decades of experience with leadership in creating new categories, brands, functions, and capabilities and with experience in crafting and building brands. During her stint with Hindustan Unilever Limited, Singh held the position of General Manager of Marketing for the Lakmé Business Unit. She has also worked with several reputed companies, such as Nokia, Pepsi, Unilever, and Heineken, as an independent marketing consultant. Singh holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
