Kush Singh Resigns As Head Of Power Sector Of CESC

Kush Singh has resigned as the Head of Power Sector of CESC Limited, effective January 1, 2026, due to personal reasons.

Before joining CESC in October 2024, Singh has been associated with Essar Power since 2018, serving as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director (CEO & MD), overseeing a portfolio including 5,000 MW of thermal, gas, and multi-fuel power plants in India and Canada, a coal mine in Indonesia, and the development of renewable energy projects, lithium battery ventures, small modular nuclear reactors, coal gasification projects, and manufacturing units in India, UAE, and Canada. Prior to Essar Power, Singh worked with NTPC and Adani Power, contributing to project development and operational management in India’s power sector. He is a mechanical engineer from BIT Mesra with 38 years of experience across P&L management, strategic and business planning, mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiations, and project development from concept to commissioning.
