Kotak Mahindra Bank Appoints Jaideep Hansraj As Whole-time Director
The Board of Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited has appointed Jaideep Hansraj, Group President – One Kotak, as an Additional Director and a Whole-time Director and a Key Managerial Personnel of the Bank, for three years, with effect from the date of receipt of all the regulatory and statutory approvals, as may be necessary from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) or any other regulatory authority.
In addition to the above appointment, the Board has appointed Paritosh Kashyap, President and Head, Wholesale Banking Group, and Manish Kothari, President and Head, Commercial Bank, as Senior Management Personnel of the bank, with immediate effect.
Jaideep Hansraj, 59, joined Kotak Mahindra Group in 1993. He started his career as the Head of East Region of Kotak Securities Ltd. and was elevated as the Chief Executive of Kotak Mahindra International Ltd. In 1999, he took over as the Head of Kotak Securities’ Private Client function. He then moved to the bank to build the Kotak Private Banking portfolio in 2004 and went on to head the bank’s Private Banking and Priority Banking from 2014, as well as the bank’s Non-Residential (NR) business. In 2019, he was appointed as the MD and CEO of Kotak Securities Ltd. In 2024, he was brought back to the bank to focus on the ‘One Kotak’ agenda as Group President—One Kotak. He has been a member of the Group Management Council (GMC) since 2017. He is also a Non Executive Director on the Boards of a few of the bank’s subsidiaries, including Kotak Securities Ltd. (as Chairman), Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance Company Ltd., Kotak Mahindra Asset Management Company Ltd., Kotak Alternate Asset Managers Ltd., Kotak Mahindra Inc., and Kotak Mahindra Financial Services Ltd. He also serves on the NSE Clearing Limited Advisory Committee. He is a Commerce graduate.
Paritosh Kashyap, 55, President and Business Head –Wholesale Banking Group at the Bank. In 2022, Kashyap took charge of the Wholesale Banking business at the bank. In the past, he has held the position of MD & CEO of Kotak Mahindra Investments Ltd. He is a Chartered Accountant and Cost & Works Accountant. He is also a Non-Executive Director on the Boards of Kotak Mahindra Investments Ltd. and Kotak Infrastructure Debt Fund Ltd.
Manish Kothari, 54, is President & Head, Commercial Bank at the bank. He has been with the Kotak Group for close to three decades. He took charge of the Commercial Bank in 2022. Prior to this role, he led the Corporate Banking business of the bank. He is a metallurgical engineering graduate from the Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur, where he topped the university. He then completed his PGDBM from XLRI, Jamshedpur, specialising in both finance and marketing. He is also a Non-Executive Director on the Boards of BSS Microfinance Ltd. and Sonata Finance Private Ltd.
