Keki Mistry appointed strategic advisor for Cyrus Poonawalla Group
Cyrus Poonawalla Group has appointed Keki Mistry, former HDFC CEO, and Vice Chairman, as a strategic advisor to all of Adar Poonawalla’s financial services businesses on Monday 7th August 2023, according to a report on CNBC TV18.
Since 2010, Mistry had served as the CEO and Vice Chairman of HDFC Ltd. On June 30, 2023, he became an additional and Non-Executive Director (Non-Independent) of the HDFC Bank following the merger. In addition, he serves as Non-Executive Chairman of HDFC Ergo General Insurance Company Limited. Recently he got appointed to the board of GE Shipping as an Independent Director.
He brings with him nearly four decades of varied work experience in the Banking & Financial Services domain. He is a Member of the Primary Market Advisory Committee (PMAC) constituted by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and was a Member of the Corporate Governance Committee constituted by SEBI in 2017. He was also the Chairman of the CII Corporate Governance Committee for 2016-17 and 2017-18. Keki M. Mistry, born in 1954, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Mumbai University and is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
