Karur Vysya Bank appoints Chinnasamy Ganesan as Independent Director

Chinnasamy Ganesan has been appointed as an Additional Independent Director at Karur Vysya Bank Ltd. With over 34 years of experience in the field of audit, he has worked with Indian and multinational clients across various sectors such as automotive, IT/ITES, telecom, consumer markets, banking, and insurance. He has served as a lead partner for several Indian and multinational companies and provided assurance services, advisory on international financial reporting, taxation, and due diligence.
Chinnasamy Ganesan has extensive knowledge and experience in carrying out bank audits and training bank officials in financial reporting, spanning over 25 years. He specializes in Financial Reporting including Ind AS, IFRS, and US GAAP, Company law matters, audit, and taxation. His contributions to Ind AS and IFRS have been recognized with an honorary doctorate from a renowned foreign university. He also actively serves as a resource person for various training institutes such as the Regional Training Institute of Comptroller and Auditor General of India, Staff training college of Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Reserve Bank of India, and several other banks.
