Karima Silvent Appointed as Independent Director at Cognizant

On July 11, Cognizant announced the appointment of Karima Silvent as an Independent Director on the Board of the company, with immediate effect. With this appointment, Cognizant’s Board now has a total of 13 members, of whom 12 are Independent.

Since 2020, six new Independent Directors have joined, three of whom are women, including Silvent.

Silvent, 50, currently serves as Group CHRO at AXA since 2017. She brings over 20 years of experience in human resources and talent management. Her previous roles at AXA include HR Director for French businesses, Global HR Director for workforce transformation, and Global HR Business Partner for COO functions. Before AXA, she held HR and management positions at Korian and Groupe Société Nationale Immobilière and began her career with the French Ministry of Employment and Health and the French state-owned Health Service. She graduated from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in 1995 and the Ecole Nationale d’Administration in 1997.
