K. Ramachandran Joins Tamilnad Mercantile Bank As Independent Director

K. Ramachandran has been appointed as Non-Executive Independent Director (Additional Director) of Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Limited, with effect from June 12, 2025, subject to the approval of the shareholders.

Ramachandran has served as Executive Director at Allahabad Bank and Indian Bank. He also held directorial roles at Indbank Merchant Banking Services and Indbank Housing Finance and was a nominee Director at Universal Sompo General Insurance Ltd. He is a seasoned banker with more than thirty years of experience who has held executive positions in a variety of banking sectors. Starting his career as an officer, he progressed through the ranks to become a Whole-Time Director. He also played a key role in the amalgamation of Allahabad Bank with Indian Bank, contributing to strategic and operational integration.
