K Narasimha Murthy appointed Independent Director by Raymond

Narasimha Murthy has been appointed as an Independent Director for five years by Raymond Limited. The appointment was announced through an exchange filing and is effective from April 21. With a distinguished academic record, Murthy has been associated with more than 175 companies, covering more than 50 industries, in the development of Cost & Management Information Systems. He has also been closely involved with several national-level institutions, including the National Stock Exchange India Ltd. and Max Life Insurance Company Ltd., and has served on over 45 high-level committees at the national and state level. In October 2007, the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India (ICWAI) acknowledged his contributions towards advancing the Costing and Management Accounting Profession in India.
