Jtekt India appoints Independent Director and CS

Hiroshi Daikoku has been appointed as an Independent Director at Jtekt India Limited, starting from August 11, 2023, for a tenure of 5 years. With extensive expertise in various areas such as Kaizen, finance, administration, procurement, and trade, Hiroshi Daikoku is a highly experienced Japanese business executive. He has held leadership positions in Hazama Corporation and the Oberoi Group, gaining valuable international experience across different countries. Hiroshi Daikoku holds an M.A. in Gandhian Management and possesses significant knowledge in FMCG markets, HR management, and international trade. He previously served as a Senior Advisor at the Japan External Trade Organization, where he played a crucial role in facilitating Japanese investments in India. Currently, Hiroshi Daikoku leads his own consultancy firm, Daikoku Consultants, specialising in fostering business collaborations between India and Japan.

In addition, Saurabh Agarwal has been appointed as the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer at JTEKT India Limited.

In another board appointment Minoru Sugisawa, a 52-year-old Japanese national, has been appointed as an Additional Director and Whole-time Director of JTEKT India Limited, starting from June 1, 2023. After completing his graduation from Kobe Technical College, Japan, in 1991, Minoru Sugisawa joined JTEKT Corporation (previously known as Koyo Seiko Co., Ltd., Japan). Following six years of experience, he was assigned as the Coordinator of NPD/PC Departments at Koyo Corporation, USA. In 2007, returned to NPD/PC Departments at JTEKT Corporation, Japan. In 2018, Minoru Sugisawa was promoted to the position of General Manager, where he oversaw the responsibilities of the Personnel Administration Office. With over three decades of experience in production administration and steering & drivelines technology, he is a qualified engineer. Currently, Minoru Sugisawa holds the position of Senior Vice President at JTEKT India Limited.

In the mean time Hiroko Nose has been re-appointed as a Non-Executive, Independent Woman Director at the Company for her second term of five consecutive years, starting from August 11, 2023.After completing her Law degree from Waseda University, Japan, Hiroko Nose earned her CPA (Certified Public Accountant) qualification in 2003.

She gained six years of experience working as an auditor at Deloitte in Tokyo before pursuing an MBA course at Kyoto University. Hiroko Nose then came to India to provide financial advisory services to Japanese companies operating in India. Currently, she serves as an Independent Director on the Board of JTEKT Sona Automotive India Limited and holds a position as one of the Directors at NAC Nose India Pvt. Ltd.
