Johannes Holtzhausen & Bhaskar Bhat complete their terms on Trent’s Board

Johannes Holtzhausen, Independent Director, has retired on August 10, 2024, and Bhaskar Bhat, Non-Independent, Non-Executive Director, shall retire with effect from August 30, 2024.

Since April 2022, Johannes Holtzhausen has served the company, and he has over five decades of experience in the retail industry, spanning both the clothing and food sectors. He has served as retail buyer and procurement manager at Pep Stores, CEO at Ackermans, Director at OK Bazaars, Partner at Pie City, and Director at Shoprite Checkers. Also, he has served as the CEO of Spinneys Dubai LLC. He holds an honours degree in business management and administration from Stellenbosch Business School and a BA in social science from the University of Stellenbosch.

Bhaskar Bhat has been on the company’s Board since September 2010. He started his career with Titan Company Ltd. (formerly Tata Watch Project) and later assumed the role of MD, a position he held until his retirement. Currently, he serves on the Boards of various companies, including Titan Company Ltd., Rallis India Ltd., Tata SIA Airlines Ltd., Bosch Ltd., Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd., Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd., and Caratlane Trading Pvt. Ltd. He holds a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Madras and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from IIM Ahmedabad. He was honoured with the Distinguished Alumnus Award by IIT Madras in 2018.
