Jio Financial Services Appoints S. Anantharaman as Group Chief Risk Officer

The Board of Directors of Jio Financial Services Limited has approved the appointment of S. Anantharaman as Group Chief Risk Officer of the company for five years, with effect from June 19, 2024.

S. Anantharaman is a banker with over 30 years of experience in managing credit, market, and operational risks. He is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and a Chartered Financial analyst. Most recently, he was working at the Bank of Baroda as Chief Risk Officer. Earlier, he served at HDFC Bank, where he was the Joint Head of Wholesale Credit, overseeing a $13 billion credit portfolio. As Group CRO at L&T Financial Services, he led the risk management function and implemented digital underwriting architectures, managing credit risk, market risk, operational risk, and information security. His international experience includes senior roles at Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait, Commercial Bank of Kuwait, and Gulf Bank, where he implemented key risk policies and tools.
