Jindal Stainless Reappoints Shruti Shrivastava, Dr. Aarti Gupta & Ajay Mankotia As Independent Directors

The Board of Directors of Jindal Stainless Limited has approved the reappointment of Shruti Shrivastava, Dr. Aarti Gupta and  Ajay Mankotia as Independent Directors of the Company for a second term of three consecutive years.

Shruti (Kanodia) Shrivastava has over 17 years of experience and is currently the Managing Partner of Sagus Legal. Prior to founding Sagus Legal, she was a Partner in the Corporate Transactions team at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas and began her legal career at S&R Associates. She serves as an Independent Director on the Boards of listed and unlisted companies. Her professional recognitions include Top 100 Women in Litigation – Asia-Pacific (2025) by Benchmark Litigation; Litigation Star (Insolvency, India – 2025) by Benchmark Litigation; India Top Lawyers: The A-List 2024–25 by India Business Law Journal; Recommended Lawyer – Banking & Finance, Corporate & M&A (2025) by The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific; and Highly Regarded and Women Leader – Banking & Finance, Corporate & M&A by IFLR1000. She holds a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) degree.

Dr. Aarti Gupta is a seasoned investment strategist and has been serving as the Chief Investment Officer of her family office (DM Gupta Family, Jagran Group) for the past 14 years. She is also the Managing Partner at Anikarth Ventures. She serves as the National Head – Policy and Advocacy for FICCI FLO and contributes to the Boards of several family-owned businesses and start-ups. Dr. Gupta actively champions initiatives focused on women’s financial literacy, entrepreneurship and job readiness, and serves as Vice President on the Board of Harvard Alumni for Global Women’s Empowerment.

Ajay Mankotia, an Indian Revenue Service officer of the 1982 batch, has held a wide range of assignments in the Income Tax Department, including Assessments, Appeals, Administration, the Central Board of Direct Taxes, and Search and Seizure. During his career, he was also deputed as Chief Vigilance Officer of public sector fertiliser companies and undertook foreign training programmes in Vigilance and Internal Affairs. In 2008, while serving as Commissioner of Income Tax, he opted for Voluntary Retirement after 26 years of service and subsequently joined NDTV as President (Corporate Planning and Operations), where he was also a member of its Core Committee.
