
Jignesh Devchandbhai Rathod Succeeds Amit Ashok Paithankar As CEO Of Waaree Energies
Jignesh Devchandbhai Rathod has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Whole-Time Director of Waaree Energies Limited, effective March 21, 2026, subject to the approval of the shareholders. He succeeds Amit Ashok Paithankar, who has retired w.e.f. March 20, 2026.
Further, Abhishek Pareek has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the company, effective March 21, 2026. He succeeds Sonal Shrivastav, who has retired w.e.f. March 20, 2026.
Additionally, Munna Singh has been appointed as Deputy CFO, and Varun Goenka has been appointed as President of Growth & Strategy of the company.
Rathod has been associated with Waaree Energies since November 2007. In his current role, he oversees operational functions across the company’s manufacturing facilities, focusing on plant operations and execution. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Gujarat University and an MBA for working executives from SVKM’s NMIMS. He also holds a PhD in Business Administration from Xavier Institute of Business Management Studies.
Pareek is Group Finance Head at Waaree Energies and part of its senior management. He joined the company as Finance Controller in September 2017. With around 20 years of experience, he has worked across corporate finance, treasury, M&A, capital markets, controllership, and planning. He has previously served as CFO of a textile company and handled multiple business units as controller. A Chartered Accountant, he holds a B.Com from the University of Delhi (DU) and has completed finance programmes from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode.
Singh joined Waaree Energies in July 2025 as Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Finance. He has been associated with firms including PwC, Lafarge India, Reliance Cement, ACC Ltd., and Vedanta Ltd. A Chartered Accountant with 20 years of experience, he has worked across sectors in roles covering finance and accounts, budgeting, planning, controllership, audit, and process functions.
Goenka has around 25 years of experience in the Indian capital markets. He has worked with firms including Anand Rathi, JM Financial, Nippon India Mutual Fund, ValueQuest Investment Advisors, and Dharamshi Family Office. His work focuses on equity research, portfolio management, and thematic investing, including energy transition themes. He holds a BBA and has completed programmes in Financial Engineering from the Indian School of Business–UCLA and Financial Markets from Yale University.
