Jammu & Kashmir Bank’s CFO Pratik Punjabi Resigns, Fayaz Ahmad Takes Over
Pratik D. Punjabi, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Jammu & Kashmir Bank Limited, has tendered his resignation with effect from April 5, 2024, to explore professional opportunities outside the bank.
While the process of appointing a CFO is likely to be completed in the next two weeks, the bank has identified Fayaz Ahmad Ganai as the “officer in charge” to take over from Pratik D Punjabi from April 5, 2024 onwards.
Fayaz Ahmad Ganai is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Charactered Accountant of India (ICAI) and has been associated with the bank since 2009 in various key roles, including Concurrent Audit, Balance Sheet Management, Taxation, GST among others. He has an overall experience of 15 years in the field of accounting and financial management.
As a Chartered Accountant certified by ICAI, Pratik D. Punjabi has accumulated extensive experience in the finance sector. His career spans notable positions at Kotak Mahindra Group, IDBI Bank, Bank of America, and HSBC, as well as leadership roles at First Abu Dhabi Bank and MUSCAT Finance SAOG in Oman. With over 22 years of professional expertise, he specialises in areas such as Financial Control, Compliance, MIS, Strategy, Business Finance, Profitability Analysis, Systems Setup, Process Optimization, and Project Evaluation. Pratik has held finance leadership roles for more than 8 years, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to his current role as the CFO at the bank.
