Jagennath Jayanthi Reappointed On LIC Housing Finance Board As Independent Director

LIC Housing Finance Limited has reappointed Jagennath Jayanthi as an Independent Director effective February 5, 2026. The reappointment was approved by the company’s board on January 30, 2026, and is subject to shareholder approval through a postal ballot within three months.

Jayanthi has over 35 years of experience in the insurance sector. She began her career with The New India Assurance Company in 1985 and retired as General Manager in November 2020. She has held positions including Senior Divisional Manager, Chief Regional Manager, Deputy General Manager, and Head Office General Manager, overseeing portfolios such as fire, engineering, motor, and crop insurance. Since joining LIC Housing Finance’s board in February 2021, she has participated in the Audit Committee, Nomination and Remuneration Committee, Stakeholders’ Relationship Committee, Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, and Special Committee for monitoring fraud cases, contributing to governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
