J.K. Cement Appoints Praveen Mahajan as Non-Executive Independent Director

The Board of Directors of J.K. Cement Limited has approved the appointment of Praveen Mahajan as an Additional Director in the category of Non-Executive Independent Director with immediate effect.

Praveen Mahajan started her career with the Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Central Excise) in 1976 and was superannuated in 2014 as the first woman Chairperson of the Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC). After that, Mahajan served as a Member (Administrative) in the Central Administrative Tribunal for 3 years and later served as President of the All India Tennis Association (AITA) for 4 years. She completed the Bachelor of Arts in English (Hons.) from the College for Women, Chandigarh; the Master of Arts in History and English from Punjab University, Chandigarh; and the Diploma in International Economic Relations from the International Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), Paris.
