Isha, Akash, And Anant Ambani Get Shareholder Approval For RIL Board Seats

Reliance Industries’ shareholders have approved the appointment of Isha Ambani, Akash Ambani, and Anant Ambani as non-executive Directors of the company.

This is seen as a critical step in succession planning in the Reliance Group, as discussed by Chairman Mukesh Ambani at the 46th AGM earlier. Mukesh Ambani, 66, has said he will spend the next five years of his chairmanship preparing them to take charge of the conglomerate’s transformation into a digital, consumer, and green energy behemoth.

Akash Ambani is the Chairman of Reliance Jio, while Isha Ambani leads Reliance Retail. Anant Ambani plays an active role in the new energy business.

Isha and Akash got over 98% of votes for being appointed to the board of Reliance, while Anant got 92.75% of votes, according to the exchange filing.
