Indraprastha Gas Appoints BPCL’s Subhankar Sen As Chairman

Indraprastha Gas Limited has appointed Subhankar Sen as Chairman with effect from April 1, 2026. He succeeds Raj Kumar Dubey following his retirement from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL).

Sen, currently Director (Marketing) at BPCL, has been nominated in line with IGL’s practice of appointing the Chairman on a rotational basis between promoter companies BPCL and GAIL for a two-year term. With more than three decades of experience, Sen has worked across fuel retailing, lubricants, and energy transition. At BPCL, he oversees marketing across fuels, LPG, aviation, and gas, along with projects, pipelines, procurement, and digital operations. He has worked on projects related to electric vehicle charging networks and doorstep diesel supply, and has also engaged with policymakers on energy transition initiatives.
