Indrajit Sengupta & Amar Dhar Named Independent Directors at McLeod Russel India

The Board of Directors of McLeod Russel India Limited has approved the appointment of Indrajit Sengupta and Amar Nath Dhar as Additional Directors (Non – Executive Independent) both for three years, with effect from July 18, 2024. Subject to the approval of members of the company.

Indrajit Sengupta, 72, has over 48 years of experience; he was the full-time Director at Andrew Yule & Co., Director (Non-executive) of Tide Water Oil Company (India), a member of the Board of Governors at IISWBM, Calcutta, the Independent Director at LSI Financial Services and General Manager at Andrew Yule & Co. Presently, he is acting as Retainer Technical Advisor and visiting faculty at management institutes. He is a mechanical engineer (M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering) and has a post-graduate degree in management (PGDM).

Amar Nath Dhar, 64, has vast experience in the banking industry. He was associated with the State Bank of India (SBI) for about 37 years. During his tenure at SBI, he has handled several important portfolios, including those of the those of the Head of Credit of all foreign offices, the Departmental Head of Risk, Compliance and Credit, and the handling of domestic and international financing of domestic and foreign corporations, etc. He is B.com graduate and a qualified CAIIB.
