Indian Companies Prioritise Training Blue-Collar Workforce on POSH

Indian companies are now focusing on educating their blue-collar workforce and third-party staff about the Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at Work (POSH) law. Large corporations, small businesses, educational institutions, and even consulting firms like Complykaro, SamānaCentre, and Rainmaker have reported a significant increase in training sessions for blue-collar and third-party workers. They have seen a demand for e-modules and trainers who can communicate in local languages to connect better with this group of workers.

For instance, Rainmaker has seen a surge in demand for trainers who can speak regional languages. One retail client has requested training for its workforce in 650 stores across India in languages such as Assamese, Tamil, Malayalam, Gujarati, and Kannada. This demand for workshops has grown by nearly 150% over the past year, according to a report in The Economic Times.
