India Today Group Appoints Rudra Kasturi as Chief Strategy Officer (Digital Business) & Shailesh Shekhar as Chief Synergy Officer

The Board of Directors of T.V. Today Network Limited has approved the appointment of Rudra Kasturi as Chief Strategy Officer (Digital Business) of the Company with effect from June 01, 2024 and designated as one of the Senior Management Personnel of the Company.

The Board has also appointed Shailesh Shekhar as Chief Synergy Officer of the Company with effect from June 01, 2024 and designated as one of the Senior Management Personnel of the Company.

Rudra Kasturi has over two decades of experience in digital transformation and strategic leadership. Kasturi has expertise in search, audience development, revenue growth and partnerships. Prior to his current role, he held significant positions at prominent organisations including Times Group, Byju’s, Snapdeal, Amazon, and Yahoo. Furthermore, his consulting experience with Tencent, Anther, PickYourTrail and various global unions underscores his adeptness in navigating diverse market environments.

Shailesh Shekhar has over three decades of active journalism across print, television and digital businesses. Shekhar started his career as a correspondent with daily newspapers and moved to work with TV News channels in the mid-90s when television was taking shape in India. Over the last 20 years, he has been leading digital businesses for prominent media companies in India and Microsoft Start (MSN) global content ecosystem. In his earlier stint with India Today Group (ITG), he worked with its digital business as COO & Editor. He has also worked at BCCL, HT Media, and TVi (BiTV). He is an alumnus of the University of Delhi. After graduating from Kirori Mal College, he studied Journalism at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi. He also studied Broadcast and Digital Journalism at Cardiff University in the UK after getting a Chevening Scholarship from the British Council in India.
