India Exim Bank has appointed Mr. Tarun Sharma as its new Deputy Managing Director

Mr. Tarun Sharma has taken on the role of Deputy Managing Director at India Exim Bank, after serving as the Chief Financial Officer and technology leader at the bank. With over two decades of experience in global trade, competitiveness, industry, and infrastructure development, Mr. Sharma has recently launched the Trade Assistance Programme (TAP) to support commercial banks in facilitating cross-border trade transactions. He is also the Chair of the BRICS Financial Services Working Group in India and previously led the Task Force on SME cooperation. Mr. Sharma has obtained a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Pune and a postgraduate degree in management studies from Mumbai, in addition to advanced executive management programs from Cornell University and the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
