Independent Directors Chetan Kankariya and Ram Tiwari Retire From Power Grid Corporation

Chetan Bansilal Kankariya and Ram Naresh Tiwari, Independent Directors of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, have completed their terms and consequently retired from the Board, effective November 15, 2024.

Kankariya has 23 years of expertise and works in the joint family business of building construction and land development. He has a close relationship with the municipal corporation that works to protect rivers by reducing plastic pollution. Management and organisation, financial management, CSR initiatives, etc. are among his areas of interest. Kankariya earned a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Pune’s Pravara Rural Engineering College.

Tiwari His occupation is agriculture. Research, development, and application of technology adoption in the fields of mixed farming, business cooperatives, social and agricultural welfare management, and agriculture are among his areas of interest. In November 2021, he joined the Board as an Independent Director. Tiwari holds two master’s degrees: one in journalism from Barkatullah University in Bhopal and one in history from Bundelkhand University in Jhansi.
