Independent Director Pradeep Poddar Retires from Welspun Living Limited

Pradeep Poddar, an Independent Director, has retired from the Board of Welspun Living Limited, effective September 14, 2024, upon completing his second term as an Independent Director.

Poddar continues to serve as an Independent Director on the Boards of Flex Foods Limited and as Chairman of Tasty Bite Eatables Limited. At Flex Foods, he is also a member of the Audit Committee, the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, the Stakeholder Relationship Committee, and the CSR Committee. At Tasty Bite, Poddar holds the position of Chairman of the Board and is a member of the Audit Committee, Nomination and Remuneration Committee, Stakeholder Relationship Committee, and Risk Management Committee.

Poddar, a 1978 PGDM (MBA) graduate from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, has had a distinguished 38-year career with prominent global and Indian companies, including Glaxo India, Heinz India, and Tata Global Beverages. He began his career at Glaxo, rising quickly through the ranks and earning the title of Young Global Leader. In 1996, he became the first Managing Director of Heinz South Asia, leading the company successfully for nearly a decade. In 2007, Poddar joined Tata Global Beverages to spearhead the group’s entry into healthy beverages and foods. As Global President of Water & Functional Beverages, he also represented the Tatas on several Boards before retiring from Tata Global Beverages in May 2016.
