Independent Director Arpit Patel Passes Away

The Boards of Directors of Arvind Ltd., Anup Engineering Ltd., and Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India have communicated to the exchanges the sad demise of Arpit Patel, an Independent Director on May 21, 2024, due to illness.

Patel was a seasoned Chartered accountant with extensive experience in assignments ranging from statutory audits to corporate advisory, navigating various legal frameworks. He served as a Partner at M/s. Kantilal Patel & Co. and M/s. S. R. Batliboi & Co. LLP (a member firm of EY Global). He was a Partner at M/s. Arpit Patel & Associates, Chartered Accountants. He has been appointed as a Technical Reviewer of Financial Statements by the ICAI and was also empanelled as a Technical Reviewer with the Quality Review Board, established by the Government of India under the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949. Additionally, he has authored several books in his field.
