IIFL Finance Appoints Nirma Bhandari As Independent Director, Shubham Khare Resigns As Head Of Legal

Nirma Anil Bhandari has been appointed as an Additional Non-Executive Independent Director at IIFL Finance Limited, effective September 16, 2024.

Bhandari, a Cost Accountant, brings over 20 years of extensive experience to the role. She currently mentors the Information Risk Management division of a leading advisory firm, where she has gained substantial expertise in areas such as Information Technology Risk, Audit, Cybersecurity, Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), Data Privacy, and Robotics GRC.

Her deep understanding of assessing risks related to data centres, networks, technology platforms, and core IT processes has enabled her to assist large enterprises by consulting on and implementing advanced cybersecurity solutions and best practices in critical technology risk management. Ms. Bhandari has also led teams in regulatory advisory assessments, consulting, reviews, audits, and training for major companies in the banking, telecom, insurance, mutual funds, and financial and non-financial services sectors.

In addition to her professional work, she is actively involved in philanthropy through her family foundation, which focusses on child welfare. She also volunteers with several NGOs supporting various social causes.
In a separate filing with the exchanges, the company has announced that Shubham Khare, designated as SMP, has resigned from his position as Head of Legal, effective at the close of business on September 12, 2024.
