IDFC First Bank Appoints Industry Veterans Pankajam Sridevi and Uday Bhansali as Independent Directors

IDFC First Bank Limited has appointed Pankajam Sridevi and Uday Shirish Bhansali as Additional Directors in the category of Independent Directors with effect from September 27, 2024.

Pankajam Sridevi brings almost three and a half decades of experience in finance, technology, and manufacturing. She oversaw significant automation, digitisation, and risk management projects as the former Managing Director of Commonwealth Bank of Australia (India), influencing operations in Australia and India as well as abroad. Additionally, she has aided programs for inclusiveness and governance while serving as chair of audit and risk committees for international financial organisations. Having won the Woman CEO of the Year and the Women Super Achiever Awards, Sridevi is a known figure in technology and women’s empowerment.

Uday Bhansali is a chartered accountant with 35 years of experience in financial advisory and consulting. He has influenced many high-impact deals in the banking and financial industries, having held positions as a partner at Accenture as well as heading Kotak Investment Banking and Deloitte’s financial advising. His experience includes corporate transformation, IPOs, and mergers. Uday became a prominent figure in the BFSI industry during his time at Deloitte, when he held the position of President, Financial Advisory for India, and participated in global projects.
