ICICI Securities Appoints Umesh Balani as Head of Private Wealth Management

The Board of Directors of ICICI Securities Limited has approved the appointment of Umesh Balani as Head of Private Wealth Management (within the category of senior management) with effect from August 1, 2024. He will replace Anupam Guha, who will resign on August 9, 2024.

The Board has also approved the proposal to exclude the name of Amit Gupta, Principal Officer and Fund Manager (PMS), from the existing list of officials within the category of senior management in the company.

Umesh Balani will be joining ICICI Securities from ICICI Bank Limited. He joined the ICICI Group in May 2000, and in these 24 years, he has worked in various areas like corporate investments, branch banking, products and strategy for private banking, and others. In his current assignment, he heads Mumbai and Goa for private banking. During his career within the ICICI Group, as part of the bank’s leadership team, he has been responsible for private banking strategy and product offerings at the bank and its international subsidiaries. Balani is a B.Sc. graduate and has done PGDBM from the Institute of Management and Information Sciences, Bhubaneswar. He has over 25 years of experience.
