ICICI Prudential Life Appoints Suresh Vaswani as Independent Director

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited has appointed Suresh Vaswani as an Additional (Independent) Director for a term of five years, with effect from July 4, 2024. Subject to the approval of the shareholders.

Suresh Vaswani is a seasoned global technology and IT services leader with a track record for building, scaling, and transforming businesses. He serves on the Boards of a spectrum of companies, from publicly listed to private equity owned to next-generation early-stage firms. Vaswani has partnered with Everstone to co-invest and play the role of the lead operating partner in the tech sector. He is on the Boards of Goldman Sachs and Everstone investee companies: Omega Healthcare, Apexon, and Qmetry. He also serves on the Boards of Everstone investee companies: Mediamint and Innoveo. He is an Independent Director at Vodafone Idea and Mastek. He is also the founder and chairman of Alphatron Capital. He has over three decades of experience in IT companies such as Dell, IBM, and Wipro. He was President of Dell Services, a member of Dell’s executive leadership team reporting to Michael Dell. He also led a very successful sale of Dell Services to a global top 10 IT services provider. As a Board member and Co-CEO of Wipro’s IT business in the most difficult period for the IT industry, he delivered industry-leading revenue and profit growth and doubled the market cap. He held multiple executive management positions in his career of 26 years at Wipro, incubated several businesses, and was instrumental in Wipro’s leadership and strong differentiation across multiple practices and service offerings. He holds a management degree from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, and an engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur.
