ICAI Appoints Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal as President & Charanjot Nanda is the new VP
Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal has been appointed as President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the apex body of the Chartered Accountants. Agarwal replaced Aniket Talati. Charanjot Singh Nanda was appointed as Vice President of ICAI. The institute has a membership of more than 400,000, and over 850,000 students are currently pursuing the course.
Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal ICAI’s 72nd President has 24 years of tenure as a practicing Chartered Accountant. In 2023–24, Agarwal held the post of Vice President. He has consecutively been appointed to the 23rd, 24th, and 25th Central Councils of ICAI. He is qualified as a Company Secretary and holds the DISA credential from ICAI. He graduated from Calcutta University.
Charanjot Singh Nanda, a Chartered Accountant has more than three decades of experience. He started with the Central Council of ICAI in 2004 and was re-elected in 2019. In 2002–03, he served as the Chairman of the Northern India Regional Council of ICAI.
