HUL veteran Dev Bajpai To Take Early Retirement, Radhika Shah To Succeed As Company Secretary

The Board of Directors of Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) has approved the appointment of Radhika Shah as Company Secretary and Compliance Officer (Key Managerial Personnel), effective January 1, 2025, succeeding Dev Bajpai.

Bajpai, Executive Director, Legal, Corporate Affairs, and Company Secretary, requested early retirement from the company, which the Board has noted. As a result, he will step down as a member of the Management Committee and Compliance Officer on December 31, 2024.

Bajpai joined HUL in 2010 and has also worked with Marico, Indian Hotels Company Ltd., and Maruti Udyog during his career. His early retirement marks the conclusion of a notable tenure, as he plans to pursue a career in social work.

Radhika Shah is an experienced governance and legal professional with over 20 years of experience. Currently, she is the Legal Head and Company Secretary at Sanofi India Ltd. (Sanofi), where she plays a key role in the India Leadership Team, collaborating with the Board of Directors and the Country Chair and Managing Director. Shah has also led strategic partnerships with major pharmaceutical companies like Cipla and Dr. Reddy’s. Prior to her role at Sanofi, she worked with Asian Paints Ltd. She is an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and holds a law degree from the University of Mumbai.”
