HUL Integrates ESG & CSR Oversight To Streamline Sustainability Initiatives
Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) announced the merger of its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Committee with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee, creating the CSR-ESG Committee, effective October 24, 2025.
The committee will be chaired by Tarun Bajaj, Non-Executive Independent Director, with Neelam Dhawan and Ranjay Gulati as members. The unified body will oversee all sustainability initiatives, disclosures, and compliance requirements, aiming to streamline decision-making and integrate sustainability governance under a single framework. HUL spent Rs 254 crore on CSR activities in FY24-25. The company continues to implement sustainability principles across its operations while reporting ad spends of Rs 1,661 crore in Q2 FY26. The committee is tasked with driving progress toward HUL’s long-term ESG objectives.
