HSBC Life Singapore appointed Harpreet Bindra as the new CEO
HSBC Life Singapore announced the appointment of Harpreet Bindra for the post of Chief Executive Officer.
His recent position was Global Head of Strategy and Business Development for HSBC Global Insurance and Partnerships, based in Hong Kong. He has more than two decades of leadership experience in the insurance and financial services sectors. Harpreet will continue to be a member of the HSBC Life Global Executive Committee and will join the HSBC WPB Singapore Executive Committee, for which he will report to Greg Hingston, CEO, of HSBC Global Insurance and Partnerships, and Ashmita Acharya, Head of Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB), Singapore respectively. After successfully integrating the operations of AXA Singapore and HSBC Insurance, Harpreet will succeed Ho Lee Yen, who has chosen to spend more time with her family. His appointment will establish a strong basis for HSBC Life Singapore’s next phase of growth. Harpreet held many executive positions in the insurance, banking, and asset management sectors, in organisations like Prudential Financial Inc., Daiwa Securities, and ING Group in Singapore, Hong Kong, India, and the Netherlands. Harpreet holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy in addition to a degree in Business Economics.
