
HPE Appoints Bhawna Agarwal As Senior VP & MD (India); Som Satsangi To Retire
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has named Bhawna Agarwal as Senior Vice President and Managing Director (SVP & MD) for its India operations, effective immediately.
This leadership change follows the planned retirement of Som Satsangi, who will remain with HPE until July 2025 to support the transition.
Bhawna Agarwal has over 25 years of experience across media, internet companies, and start-ups in India. She Co-Chairs the American Chamber of Commerce’s GCC Council. In 2015, she became CEO of NDTV Gadgets, overseeing its growth into India’s top digital tech platform. She began her digital career in 2000, consulting on e-commerce solutions before joining the founding team at Times Internet. In 2004, she launched Indiatimes Travel, India’s first online travel platform. She later joined Yatra.com’s founding team in 2006, managing sales, alliances, product, marketing, technology, and overall P&L. In 2010, she led the turnaround of Seventymm’s e-commerce business. She is also active in India’s start-up ecosystem, mentors entrepreneurs, and serves on advisory Boards.
