
Hemant Sikka To Succeed Rampraveen Swaminathan As Mahindra Logistics MD & CEO
Mahindra Logistics Limited (MLL) has appointed Hemant Sikka as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO), effective May 5, 2025. He succeeds Rampraveen Swaminathan, who led MLL since February 2020 and is stepping down to pursue other professional interests.
Sikka is the President of the Farm Equipment Sector (FES) at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd and a member of its Group Executive Board. He is Co-Chair of FICCI’s National Agriculture Committee and former President of TMA India. He also leads Mahindra’s global tractor and farm machinery business, with a presence in India and markets like the USA, Japan, Brazil, Turkey, and Finland. Under his leadership, FES expanded into Krish-e, Mahindra’s agri-tech platform. He also oversees Mahindra Powerol, Mahindra Solarise, and Mahindra’s two-wheeler businesses, including Classic Legends. He heads Mahindra’s Agri Sector, comprising Mahindra Agri Solutions and EPC Irrigation. With over two decades at Mahindra, Sikka previously held key roles in manufacturing, purchasing, and international operations, including at SsangYong Motors and Maruti Suzuki.
Swaminathan is the Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Logistics Ltd., a role he has held since July 2019. With over 25 years of experience, he has led businesses across the automotive, energy, manufacturing, and paper sectors. He serves as an Independent Director at Dodla Dairy Ltd. and is associated with SVP India and the WWF Advisory Board. Before joining Mahindra Logistics, he held leadership roles at Tata Group, Cummins Inc., International Paper Co., and Schneider Electric, driving strategic and operational transformations across global markets. Swaminathan holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Bangalore University and a postgraduate diploma in management from TA Pai Management Institute.
