Harshet Jain and Dr. Sanjay Trehan have been appointed as Whole-Time Directors of Panacea Biotec Limited, w.e.f. February 14, 2025.
Sandeep Jain has been reappointed as Joint Managing Director of the company, w.e.f. April 01, 2025.
Krishan Kumar Jalan, Dr. Rajender Pal Singh, and Venkatesh Sarvasiddhi have been appointed as Non-Executive Independent Directors of the company, w.e.f. February 14, 2025.
Ankesh Jain has been reappointed as Whole-Time Director of the company, w.e.f. April 01, 2025.
Sandeep Jain has over 41 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He has expertise in corporate finance, Corporate Governance, and compliance and is actively involved in overseeing daily operations. His focus areas include international marketing, business development, tax laws, and regulatory matters. Under his leadership, the company has expanded its global presence by enhancing international marketing efforts. It currently exports branded formulations to CIS countries, Asia, Eastern Europe, and Africa.
Harshet Jain holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, USA. With international exposure across Europe, the US, Africa, and Southeast Asia, he brings a global perspective to business development. He has been associated with the company since September 2014 and currently serves as General Manager – Business Development.
Dr. Sanjay Trehan holds a Ph.D. from the University of Hawaii, USA, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University. He began his academic career at Panjab University in 1989, serving in the Department of Chemistry until 2001. He then joined Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories as Director of Research until 2004. From 2004 to 2018, he held senior positions at Panacea Biotec Ltd., leading the company’s Drug Discovery Research Centre in Mohali. Since September 2018, he has been associated with Panacea Biotec on a retainership basis.
Krishan Kumar Jalan is a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer with over 35 years of experience. He holds a B.Sc. (Honours) and M.Sc. in Mathematics, along with M.Phil. degrees in Mathematics and Public Administration. He also earned a Master of Social Science in Development Administration from the University of Birmingham, UK, and attended short-term courses, including one at Columbia University. He has held senior positions such as Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, and Director in various departments of the Haryana Government. He also served as Secretary to the Government of India for the Ministry of MSME. Currently, he is an Independent Director at PNC Infratech Ltd., Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd., and Asit C Mehta Financial Services Ltd.
Dr. Rajender Pal Singh is a retired IPS officer of the 1987 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He served for 36 years and superannuated in February 2023 as Director General of Police (DGP), Uttar Pradesh. An alumnus of St. Stephen’s College and Sherwood College, Nainital, he earned his LLB and Ph.D. degrees during his service. He has held key positions, including DGP Training Directorate, DGP Economic Offences Wing, and Deputy Director General Operations at the Narcotics Control Bureau, New Delhi. Currently, he is Secretary of the Retired Senior Police Officers Association (RESPOA), Chief Advisor (Enforcement & Vigilance) at Meesho and Satya Micro Capital, and an Independent Director at Triveni Engineering & Industries Ltd. His expertise spans risk management, compliance, crisis response, legal frameworks, and Corporate Governance.
Venkatesh Sarvasiddhi holds a degree in electrical engineering from Dayal Bagh Educational Institute, a master of science from BITS Pilani, and management credentials from IIM Calcutta. He has completed the Executive Marketing Program at Kellogg School of Management and is a Chevening Gurukul Fellow at King’s College London. Currently, he is the Managing Director and Board Member at Springer Nature India Ltd., overseeing business operations, public policy, and research empowerment. Previously, he led digital skills, innovation, and industry partnerships at NSDC. He has worked as Director of Innovation at Deloitte and spent a decade at Microsoft, focusing on developer ecosystems, academic programs, and startup initiatives. His expertise lies in technology, policy, and skill development.
Ankesh Jain holds a BSc in Pharmaceutical Management from the University of Bradford, UK, and an MBA from the Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California, USA. With around 14 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, he specialises in global sales and business development. He leads sales, marketing, and business expansion efforts, focusing on identifying new growth opportunities in international markets. Before his current role, he managed the domestic pharmaceutical formulation business for the company.
