Google Names Prabhakar Raghavan Chief Technologist, Nick Fox To Lead Search And Ads

In a recent leadership reshuffle at Google, CEO Sundar Pichai announced that Prabhakar Raghavan, formerly Head of Search, has been appointed as Chief Technologist. In this new role, Raghavan, who has been with Google for over a decade, will focus on developing technological excellence and providing strategic technical guidance. As part of the transition, Raghavan, a Senior Vice President, will also oversee ads and other major segments.

To succeed Raghavan, Nick Fox, a seasoned executive with extensive experience in Google’s search and ad divisions, has been appointed to lead Search, Ads, Geo, and Commerce operations.

In addition to these leadership changes, Google is restructuring its research and development teams. The Gemini app team, led by Sissie Hsiao, will merge with Google DeepMind, the company’s AI research division. While the Google Assistant team will now be integrated into the Platforms and Devices division.
