Godrej Properties Reappoints Sutapa Banerjee as Independent Director

The Board of Directors of Godrej Properties Limited has reappointed Sutapa Banerjee as a Non – Executive, Independent Director for five years, with effect from November 5, 2024. Subject to the approval of the members of the company.

With 25 years of experience in the financial services sector, Sutapa Banerjee has held key positions at renowned banks, including ANZ Grindlays, ABN AMRO, and Ambit, and played a pivotal role in successfully launching and managing the private wealth businesses at ABN AMRO Bank and Ambit Capital. Banerjee was honoured as one of the “Top 20 Global Rising Stars of Wealth Management” by the Institutional Investor Group in 2007 and was one of only two winners from Asia. Under her leadership, Ambit Private Wealth was recognised as the “Best Private Bank in India” in the AsiaMoney polls of 2013. She was recognised as one of the “50 Most Powerful Women” by Fortune India in 2012. She currently serves as an Independent Director on the Boards of several companies within the JSW Group, including Axis Capital, Polycab India, Camlin Fine Sciences, Zomato, etc. She co-developed and co-taught a pioneering course on cognitive biases in decision-making with a gender focus at IIM Ahmedabad, the first of its kind across the world. She serves as an adjunct professor at IICA and provides wealth consulting services to Gerson Lehrman.
