Godawari Power & Ispat Appoints Neha Huddar & Hukam Daga as Independent Directors
The Board of Directors of Godawari Power & Ispat Limited has appointed Neha Sunil Huddar and Hukam Chand Daga as Non-Executive Independent Directors for five years, with effect from August 9, 2024.
Neha Sunil Huddar is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). She has over 40 years of experience in finance. Her career began as an accounts officer at Thirumalai Chemicals, and she was gradually promoted to the post of group CFO. She was associated with the group for 29 years. Further, she joined Reliance Foundation as Head of Finance and then moved to Vice President of Payroll, Benefits, and Employee Insurance at Reliance Industries. She was appointed as Independent Women Director at Bodal Chemicals. In 2020, she was appointed as an independent director on the Board of Mitsu Chem Plast. In 2023, she was appointed as Independent Women Director on the Board of Arkade Developers. She is also on the Board of Advisors at Access Life Assistance Foundation and is actively involved in ensuring that the funds are used appropriately.
Hukam Chand Daga is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and a fellow member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). He has more than four decades of experience in various Aditya Birla Group of Companies, namely Hindalco (Renusagar Power Co.), Grasim Industries, Indian Rayon, H G I Industries, and Essel Mining, and has worked in different states of India with diverse natures of business, making turnarounds and achieving industry leadership in most of them. He has served on the Boards of a few companies, namely Rameshwara Jute Mills as an Independent Director, Bhubaneswari Coal Mining Limited as a Non-Executive Director. He was also the President of the Federation of Indian Mineral Industries (FIMI) for 2 years, a Member of the National Mining Committee of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), a Trustee of Paradip Port Trust for 8 years, and a member of the Central Excise and Customs Grievance Cell. He was also associated with various social organisations as a former President of the Rotary Club and a former Vice President of the Jodhpur Association. He continues to serve as a trustee of the Jineshwar Suri Foundation.
