Godawari Power Appoints MD Bajrang Lal Agrawal as Chairman of the Board

The Board of Directors of Godawari Power and Ispat Limited has approved the appointment of Bajrang Lal Agrawal, Managing Director, as Chairman of the Board of the company, with effect from August 9, 2024. Agrawal replaces Shashi Kumar and has been redesignated as Chairman and Managing Director of the company.

Shashi Kumar retires from the Board upon completion of his second term as an Independent Director on August 9, 2024.

The Board also took note of the retirement of Bhavna Govindbhai Desai, Independent Woman Director of the company, upon completion of her second term, with effect from August 8, 2024.

A first-generation entrepreneur, B.L. Agrawal has nearly four decades of experience in the iron and steel industry. He graduated as an electrical engineer and is operating various Hira Group companies, including Godawari Power and Ispat Limited. He has been associated with the company since its inception in various capacities and has been responsible for the overall management and supervision of all the activities of the company. He is a techno-commercial entrepreneur.
