GIC Appoints V. Balkrishna as CFO

The Board of Directors of the General Insurance Corporation of India has approved the appointment of V. Balkrishna, General Manager, as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and KMP with effect from May 1, 2024. He will replace Jayashree Ranade, who is set to retire on April 30, 2024.

V. Balkrishna is a cost and management accountant with a Certificate of Merit from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. He is a postgraduate in law with additional qualifications from FIII and ACIII, London. He also holds degrees from ACMA, MIPA, and ACSI. He has been with the corporation for the past 35 years and has worked in various sections of reinsurance and finance.
