Gautam H. Bambawale & Nitin N. Kareer Join Force Motors As Independent Directors
Gautam Hemant Bambawale and Nitin Nandkishor Kareer have been appointed as Independent Directors (Additional Directors) of Force Motors Limited with effect from December 19, 2025, subject to the approval of shareholders.
Bambawale is a retired Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer with experience across diplomacy, policy coordination, and regional affairs. He served as India’s Ambassador to China from 2017 to 2018 and earlier as High Commissioner to Pakistan. He was India’s first Consul General in Guangzhou, China, and has held several overseas and headquarters assignments. Bambawale also served as Director of the Indian Cultural Centre in Berlin and worked in the Prime Minister’s Office between 2002 and 2004. From 2009 to 2014, he was Joint Secretary for East Asia, handling diplomatic engagement with countries in the region.
Kareer is a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer and former Chief Secretary of the Government of Maharashtra. Over his career, he has handled key responsibilities in administration, urban governance, land records, and public finance. He has served as District Collector of Sangli, Commissioner of Pune Municipal Corporation, Divisional Commissioner of Pune, and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister. Kareer has also held positions such as Director General of Information and Public Relations, Sales Tax Commissioner, and Inspector General of Registration and Settlement Commissioner, contributing to policy implementation and administrative reforms at the state and local levels.
