Gautam Adani Redesignated As Non-Executive Chairman Of APSEZ; Manish Kejriwal Joins As Independent Director

Gautam Adani has been redesignated from Executive Chairman to Non-Executive Chairman of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ), effective August 5, 2025.

Further, Manish Kejriwal has been appointed as an Independent Director (Additional Director), subject to shareholder approval within three months.

Gautam Adani is the Founder and Chairman of the Adani Group, India’s largest integrated infrastructure conglomerate. Under his leadership, the Group has expanded from core B2B sectors into diverse B2C businesses, including airports, data centres, cement, media, food, FMCG, and digital platforms. Adani is the first Indian founder and first-generation entrepreneur to lead a business group that crossed USD 200 billion in market capitalisation. He has pledged USD 70 billion toward India’s green energy goals and USD 7 billion for healthcare, education, and skill development in rural areas.

Manish Kejriwal is the Founder and Managing Partner of Kedaara Capital, a private equity firm managing over USD 6 billion in assets. Since 2011, he has led Kedaara’s strategy of building trusted partnerships with top-tier entrepreneurs and management teams in India. Before this, he established and headed the India office of Temasek Holdings, overseeing investments from 2004 to 2011 and serving on key leadership committees. Earlier, he was a Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he co-founded its Private Equity Practice. His experience also includes roles at the World Bank and Goldman Sachs. A Baker Scholar from Harvard Business School and Dartmouth graduate, he serves on the boards of Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Finserv, and Ashoka University and actively contributes to the education sector.
