Gaurav Banerjee Appointed As CEO & MD Of Culver Max Entertainment

Gaurav Banerjee has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director (CEO & MD) of Culver Max Entertainment, the operator of Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI).

The AGM also approved the appointments of General Counsel Ritesh Khosla and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Sibaji Biswas as Whole-Time Directors.

Banerjee is currently serving as the Chairman of the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India. He has over two decades of experience in the media and entertainment industry. He previously led content at Disney+ Hotstar, developing series and films for Hindi and regional audiences. At Star India, he managed Star Plus, Star Gold, and regional channels such as Star Jalsha and Star Pravah, expanding market reach and growth. His career began in the news media. He holds a master’s in filmmaking and TV production from Jamia Millia Islamia University and a graduate degree in history from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi.
